The room was clean and spacious, although the king suite felt a bit cold and stark without a rug in the lounge/sitting area. Bedside lighting in the room was LED, not very aesthetically pleasing. Also, some basic crockery would be great, e.g. a saucer or side plate.

It was great. It's the second time we have been there. The service could be a bit better; the phones weren't always answered from the room. But the restaurant would always call back. The aircon was a bit smelly in the evening, but I assume that was because of load shedding. Other than that, I love this place and will definitely go back.
On arrival, I was very impressed with the location, room size, and overall quality of the bedroom, bathroom, and lounge.

As this was for our 20th wedding anniversary, I booked a suite. The suite was a lot bigger than expected, and breakfast was good. The only issue was the elevator to the 5th floor, which unfortunately broke down. However, we unfortunately picked a weekend where load shedding was at stage 5/6. Luckily, the hotel does have a generator. Spectacular views, great OB's 200m from the hotel. Overall, definitely worth a stay if you're looking for a getaway for you and your spouse.
Stressful start when we checked in, but the issue was resolved satisfactorily. The website pictures are more glamorous than the actual condition of the hotel.

The hotel has seen better days. The hotel does not live up to its 4 stars. On my arrival at 14:00, my room was still not ready for me to check in. Disappointing, considering the 3 hours of travelling to get there. We had a negative encounter with one of the waitresses at the restaurant. The towels and gowns in our room were old, worn out and stiff. There was constant noise around our room: the music from the gym, people using the elevator, and below our balcony. We won’t be returning.

Great customer service and a very nice room. However, the food at the restaurant wasn't fresh but edible nonetheless. It would also have been great if the TVs had Netflix or came with an HDMI. The gym is quite decent with a diverse range of weights available.
Perfection, the pictures on the website don't do justice to how it looks physically. We were treated like royalty and had a buffet breakfast.
Our stay was excellent. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Buffet breakfast every morning was great value for money, happy hour at the bar every day as well. Just the Gordons Bay wind was unpleasant.

No, it was extremely unpleasant! The hotel had several parties right below our room with loud music making it impossible to try to sleep. Our room also had 'black mould' in it which caused an extremely unpleasant smell (rotten egg) in the room. It was taken up with the hotel, but nothing was done about it. We requested to be moved to another room, but this too was ignored. If we didn't have to stay for commitments and already paid the hotel in full, we left the hotel the first night. We would not recommend it to anyone!

Yes, but they will have to pay attention to maintenance. The one sink in the bathroom was clogged with old water. There is a self help bar fridge but it was empty.

Our second time coming to Krystal Beach Hotel and it's honestly the best getaway. It's quiet, clean and so stylish. The staff is fantastic and incredibly sweet, and the facilities are fabulous — the pristine pool, the spa and the restaurant area are all simply lovely.

2nd Stay,1st time standard room including breakfast was not great at all. 2nd Time king suite, much better value and breakfast was much better equipped. Waiters and kitchen staff not familiar with Sunday dinners. I was advised that I should eat elsewhere then the front desk went to go correct the staff.

The hotel rooms are very large and spacious with a lounge area as standard. Room is very clean and linen and towels are of very high quality. Small kitchen nook with a Nescafé coffee machine and fridge with water. Very good location with beautiful view and walking distance to several restaurants. The meals in the hotel were great and affordable. Covered secure parking.

Cleaning of the rooms should be done before check-in at 14:00. After my check-in, there were still cleaning trolleys in the passage. The chef needs to ask what we would like in an omelette and not just add his own ingredients.
It was incredibly delicious and so beautiful! Just a pity that there are people who smoke in the rooms!
Exceeded expectations.
It was a romantic breakaway and I took the staff champagne and a gift to put in the room ahead of time. They did much more than I expected and also scattered red rose petals everywhere and created a fantastic romantic atmosphere. I am overwhelmed with the extra they have done. I will definitely stay there again.

The facilities are beautiful and the location perfect. The staff were friendly but very impersonal and the restaurant was good but nowhere near the standard we received elsewhere. It was a lovely overnight stop but I wouldn't use it for a longer stay.

Hotel is well located in a safe spot where there are other restaurants available also. Rooms are very large (we had a king suite) and the beds are comfy, and bathroom is beautiful and spacious. Breakfast was included (a lovely surprise) and the choice was fantastic.
Aziza at the restaurant saw to it that the breakfast was Halaal and was amazing. I would definitely recommend her to others and even went back the week after for breakfast.
Our aircon in the wasn't working but we were accommodated and changed to another room. We were very pleased with our halal breakfast and enjoyed it thoroughly. Aziza was tops.

At reception we were not informed how their restaurant's payment method works. What an embarrassment! We are used to you just sign your slips and complete payment when you leave. When we just sign and walk on we are chased because we have no credit on the system. We should have been informed on arrival. We had a room with 3 windows. All 3 had no view. Staring against rusted air conditioners. Against building walls and building directly next door. Bathroom was very dirty. I wrote a list and asked them to come clean. They did then, partially. Room smelled bad of smoke even though they don't allow smoking in rooms. Was awful! One bedside light did not work. The other was too faint to read. The front entrance to the hotel is terribly dirty and damaged. There are white tiles on the steps that are brown with dirt where people walk up and down to the parking lot. Most of the staff not friendly at all. Their breakfast was the same every day, just wrapped in different ways. Have no idea what shortbread cookies are and the chef admitted only he knows how to whip cream. They don't serve it. He made an exception for us on the third morning. The restaurant's food was good. Value for money, but unfortunately that's all that was positive!

Our room wasn't ready when we got there, so just check in advance if you might be pressed for time. But otherwise we were very satisfied. The room we stayed in was very spacious and luxurious and everything was clean and tidy. We had a very nice view to both the harbor and the sea on the 4th floor. Can really recommend the hotel.

Krystal Beach Hotel is beautiful with the view of the sea and the harbour, it was an absolute feast. Is very affordable for a family without sacrificing quality.
There were guests above us that were extremely noisy until 3 am. There did not seem to be much done about it from the Hotel management side. Service in general was slow at the bar and restaurant. Food was average. The views and location of the hotel are the highlights.

Definitely a lovely break away from home, with easy beach access, a lovely pool and a delicious room service menu. Kids had a blast - we even managed to get rods for them to fish at the pier whilst having lunch at Ocean Basket. Memorable moments indeed!

It is always nice to stay at the hotel. It has a peaceful atmosphere, there is a lot to see around the hotel and it is within walking distance.

Mense is vriendelik en behulpsaam en dis veilig, maar die ontbyt-buffet was koud, vrugte was nie ryp nie en koffie was nie die beste nie. WiFi is nie algemeen of aangebied nie. Weereens, dis okay maar nie ekstra nie, net die basiese.

Was in Cape Town for business and Gordons Bay was an ideal stopover on the way back home. The rooms are neat and clean. The restaurant's dinner and breakfast were very nice. There are also a few other places to eat near the hotel. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching the beautiful sunset. The 40% discount on accommodation was a bonus.

Nice suite, but room 206 has no view of the sea or the marina and that was very disappointing especially as I travelled so far. There should be some bottled water available in the bar fridge. The room should also have an information booklet telling you where restaurants etc are. otherwise all good.

Our timing was very off when we visited Krystal Beach Hotel. It was windy and rainy which means we couldn't enjoy all the outdoor facilities properly, like the pool, having supper or lunch outside or even going to the beach. The service we got at the hotel was great, I have no complaints. The room was exactly as displayed: I was happy and excited about that. We were assisted promptly when asking for a few things from reception.

Hotel was not busy. So it was very quiet with no crowds or people around you. Got the idea that because we were so few guests the staff got time to smile and pay attention to their guests. The security personnel are also included in this

I considered the hotel mostly because the room was on a special offer. That's why I probably can't sound too ungrateful. The hotel needs a lot of attention. However, they are working on it. However, there are better places in the price range in which the hotel competes. Therefore, I would not recommend it at all.

Was a bit stressful since the accommodation we selected was a family unit. The duplex is great with older kids but we had a 7 and 1 year old and constantly need to get baby off the stairs and keep him off the balcony since railing were wide enough for him to fall through.

There was a problem with our room booking but they put us in a lovely alternative room with a beautiful view of the sea. We got complimentary hot chocolate which was delicious and a plate of various cakes and dessert! The food and breakfast are exceptional and I want to go back for that! I highly recommend this hotel.
Upon arrival, the room was not ready, the pillows were on the couch and there weren't any robes in the closet. Had to draw staff's attention to it. The staff at the spa was friendly but it seems they don't have a system in place to generate an electronic invoice and am still waiting on them to respond via email after leaving.

Friendly staff. Quality meals and the price was affordable and serving large portions. They made us feel at home. Was really worth the money. Beautiful rooms, clean and nice sea view.
Hotel and food was absolutely 5 star, the entrance area just needs a bit of work as the outside of the hotel is a public beach area and hotel seems to be halfway through a painting job.

The place is amazing.
Just a few things the hotel could address for future guests. I ordered the rump steak and it was very dry and like it was taken out of the freezer and still half frozen on the inside. Very tough meat. The air conditioning in the bedroom itself was set as low as 16 degrees, but the temperature still remained very warm in the room due to the air conditioning not blowing cold at all. The cocktail bar that was indicated on the website was full of dirty tables, we sat for 15 minutes and no one even approached us to take an order. It looked more like an abandoned bar and we then moved to the hangout next to the hotel.

Extremely poorly handled by the staff. I was talked down to by the security, very awkwardly woken up at 8am in the morning by the cleaning staff, who just happened to come into the room anyway. Shown away early from breakfast at 10:15 and no customer service when you sit down for dinner. The clothes that were sent for dry cleaning were also not handled as requested.
We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary in Gordon's Bay with the idea of making it our base to explore the rest of the area. The hotel was perfectly located and was much more luxurious than we expected. The rooms were clean and modern. The premises were friendly and know their hotel. Our dinners and breakfasts were top notch with their new chef!
Die spyskaart was beperk, maar die kos was elke keer lekker. Personeel was altyd vriendelik en behulpsaam. Ek het die bestuurder ingelig oor die veiligheidsrisiko toe hy die gebou aan die motors in die kelder gelos het, omdat 'n mens nie kan sien dat daar trappe aan die ander kant van die skuifdeur is wat tot gevolg gehad het nie. Gelukkig het die bestuur die erns van die risiko gesien en tekens aangebring. Ek het aanbeveel dat neonstroke aan die rand van die trappe geplaas word vir sigbaarheid.
Accommodation was good. The sliding door to the balcony opens with difficulty. The gowns need Sta-Soft. The weather made it difficult to enjoy the area or to use the swimming pool, the rooms were neat and the service was good.
Actually gave it to my sister as her birthday gift. She was knocked off her feet with the luxury at this stay.

I booked and inquired if the room had a balcony. They let us know it had a balcony. However, when we checked in we were told that the hotel was fully booked and there was no room with a balcony available. We were not happy and within an hour we were moved to another room, which was clearly in a different price range than what I had booked. We had a great stay and the service was great. Thank you very much, we will definitely go again.
I would just like to add to my review and thank the staff and personnel at Krystal Beach hotel for their incredible integrity and honesty and making the effort for letting us know that we forgot a small carry bag full of items there. I received an email from them assuring me that they would keep it safe and I had a courier fetch it for me. To Krystal Beach Hotel thank you, much appreciated. We were had a great stay. However, the air-conditioning did not work, but the staff offered us other options. However, it had happily turned on again during the evening, suspected that it was an electric fault because the passage lights were also off.

Four star hotel looks good on web, arrived there, there is basement parking, but not offered. Bar fridge empty, on inquiry learned that the hotel's policy is not to provide more. Inquiry about water in room the same, so if you get thirsty in the early hours of the morning, you get up, get in your car and go shopping, because the bar is closed! Breakfast variety disappointing, most three star hotels give better. Rooms big and neat and clean.

Sjoh everything was so beautiful and comfortable, I didn't expect the family duplex, my children had their own suite. Both sides had a balcony with a sea view and a picture perfect view of the island and the hotel's breathtaking landscape with its swimming pool and harbour. The breakfast has much to choose from, learned to eat new dishes, the service was excellent. The staff was always friendly, helpful and chatty, one feels so comfortable from the moment you arrive. The decor was not too much and you didn't feel like it had a stiff atmosphere, especially when you take children along, it can sometimes be quite uncomfortable. I want to thank the staff of the hotel for their hospitality and their excellent service. We'll definitely visit you again.
